The week started off with a workshop on standards. Now that’s a word that has huge implications for UK higher education. There are technical standards for networking, but there are also data standards for data collection, and interoperability standards for the transfer of data between systems. It was an useful interesting discussion.

Did some more planning and objective setting for the year ahead.

This week I took part in the third workshop looking at next steps and ways of working in regard to E in NREN.

In September I have quite a bit of travelling to do, so spent time organising and sorting out the logistics of doing all that. Having not travelled for Jisc since April, I had to remind myself of the processes and procedures when booking international travel. I am off to Luleå in Sweden, Brussels, and then attending the 2026 1EdTech Learning Impact Europe conference at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
