This week was a shorter week than normal with the bank holiday. However I worked five days as there was a GÉANT SIG-EDU meeting on the Monday.

I did some preparation and planning for the next two weeks with trips to Sweden, Belgium, and Greece. I needed to make sure I had all the itinerary and paperwork in place. I printed lots of stuff off when I was in the office, as I wanted to ensure I had a paper copy of things, such as hotel bookings, airport parking and flight details.

I also spent time working out the in-between travel, how do I get from the parking to the airport, upon arrive in Sweden, how do I get from Luleå Airport to the hotel. That kind of thing.

Another aspect of planning was how I was going to report on the meetings, discussions, and conference sessions I was attending. Not so much as a factual account, but more what does this mean for the UK higher education sector and the implications of that for Jisc.

With a new team, we are taking the time at looking at our processes for this, and as I have a real variety of activities happening over the next two weeks, it gives me a chance to reflect on and think about what process do I need to follow and what information should I both capture, analyse and then report on.

I did get into the Bristol office and spent Friday working in the office.

We wrapped up some stakeholder mapping that a few of us had been doing across Europe.

I had another meeting looking at Open Education.
